What is inside
- Three subjects: 3級シャシ (chassis), 3級ガソリン・エンジン (gasoline engine), 3級ジーゼル・エンジン (diesel engine).
- 20 papers per subject, each with 30 four-choice items and a 60-minute timer: 1,800 items in total.
- Original questions written by ViMai for the 3級 textbook scope, redrawn figures and an explanation for every item. They are not JASPA papers.
- Furigana on kanji you can switch on and off, plus Vietnamese and English translation for every item and option.
- Scored against 21 out of 30, review of missed items and a free parts dictionary of 2,520 entries.
About the exam
- Organizer: JASPA (Japan Automobile Service Promotion Association). Passing this registration test exempts you from the matching part of the national skills test.
- Written test per type: 30 four-choice items, 60 minutes, on a mark sheet.
- JASPA's published pass mark for the 2025 first session: 21 points or more out of 30 (one point per item).
- Applications go through your local automobile service promotion association (自動車整備振興会). A new 三級（総合） type starts in 2027.

Yes. Papers 1 to 3 of every subject (9 papers) are free, with furigana and translation. VIP unlocks the other 51 papers, the per-item tips and the detailed explanations.
Are these the real exam questions?
No. They are original practice items written by ViMai for the 3級 scope and the four-choice format, with redrawn figures. JASPA publishes its past papers on its own site.
Which subject should I start with?
Start with the one closest to your work. Each subject is a separate test, and the three free papers per subject let you try before you decide.
